2.9% Credit Card Usage Fee To Be Added To All Transactions

Thank you for your continued support of Routt County Humane Society and our mission to be a community resource that helps animals in need through sheltering, adoption, education, veterinary services, and community outreach. Your generosity makes it possible for us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them.
As a nonprofit organization, every dollar counts. Recently, we have been facing a significant challenge: the costs of absorbing credit card processing fees. These fees have grown to a point where they are significantly impacting our budget and our ability to provide essential services, including veterinary care, shelter, and enrichment for the animals who depend on us.
To address this issue and ensure we can continue to allocate the maximum amount of resources directly to our programs, we will be implementing a 2.9% credit card usage fee for all transactions starting on January 1, 2025. This fee reflects the actual cost of processing credit card payments and helps us minimize overhead expenses while maintaining the quality of care and support we provide.
We understand this may be an inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. To avoid this fee, you may consider a cash transaction or purchase through your debit card.
