Get Involved
Volunteers improve the lives of pets and people in need every day!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Routt County Humane Society. The work our organization accomplishes would not be possible without the generous contributions of our volunteers. We now offer a volunteer program that has a variety of ways that you can help both pets and people. No matter your age or your interests, we have a position for you!
The first step to becoming a volunteer at RCHS is to fill out an application. You will then be contacted to attend a Volunteer Orientation. From there you will be scheduled for a training session specific to the position and then you can begin!
For the young adults, ages 13 – 17, we have a Junior Volunteer program; and for kids under 13, we offer the Reading Wranglers program. Volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent at all times, and that parent must attend a Volunteer Orientation.
