FREE Veterinary Care Clinic

Get ready for a day of care and compassion! All Northwest Colorado residents can receive FREE vaccinations, microchipping, communicable disease screenings, and more!

The Routt County Humane Society (RCHS) is excited to announce that its Wellness Clinic has received a $4,000 grant from the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) for the fourth year in a row for its upcoming Free Veterinary Care Clinic on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The grant will enable RCHS to provide essential services such as vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchipping, and FIV/FELV testing for pets throughout Northwest Colorado.

Elaine Hicks, Executive Director of RCHS, expressed her appreciation, saying, “We’re incredibly grateful to the ASPCA for awarding us this generous $4,000 grant, which will help us offer free vaccinations and microchipping for up to 100 community pets. This support is crucial for ensuring the health and safety of pets throughout the region.”

The clinic is open to all residents and allows RCHS to continue our efforts to reduce the spread of communicable diseases among local animals by providing comprehensive vaccination coverage. Microchipping pets ensures lost pets can find their way home, furthering the organization’s commitment to animal welfare.

This FREE Veterinary Care Clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Cook Subaru (1955 Curve Court) in Steamboat Springs. The clinic is FREE and open to everyone. Pets will be cared for on a first come first serve basis so be sure to come early.
