The Routt County Humane Society (RCHS) is excited to announce that Three Yellow Dogs is the Monthly Business Partner for the April Adopt-a-thon, running from April 1-30, 2025. Three Yellow Dogs will donate $50 for every pet adopted throughout the month to support this life-saving initiative.
“With adoptions slow nationally and locally, the support from Three Yellow Dogs is more critical than ever,” said Elaine Hicks, Executive Director of RCHS. “Their generosity will help provide vital veterinary care, shelter, and resources for the animals in our care while also encouraging more adoptions. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to our mission.”
This year, RCHS is especially hoping to find forever homes for some of its longest-term residents, so it has introduced its One Pup Parade initiative that offers 50% off adoption fees on all dogs in our care best suited as the only dog in the household. Some of our current One Pup Parade residents include;
🐾 Mancha – A spirited 6-year-old female Central Asian Shepherd Dog/Mix who weighs 62 pounds. Mancha has a heart full of love and a personality that shines bright, and she walks beautifully on a leash, making our strolls around the neighborhood a joy. She adores being around people but will thrive best as the only dog in the household.
🐾 Nala – A 2-year-old female Kuvasz/Mix who weighs 74 pounds. Nala was surrendered due to not coping well with children in the home. She has many skills, like walking well on a leash, hand touching, sitting on cue, and she is muzzle-trained. She is not a huge fan of other dogs or cats, though she can be around dogs from afar without issue. Due to her history, a children-free home would be the best option.
🐾 Athena – A sweet one-year-old girl with a resilient spirit. Rescued from a cruelty case, Athena is learning to trust and embrace the love around her. She’s affectionate, eager to bond, and needs a patient home to help her feel safe.
