Viral Betty White Challenge is taking place Tuesday, January 17, 2023

{Steamboat Springs, CO – Jan. 10, 2023}  The Routt County Humane Society is kicking off their 2023 fundraising efforts by honoring one of the greatest actresses and animal lovers of all time, the legendary Betty White.  Whatever generation you belong to, Betty White likely has most likely touched your life in some way. You may know her as Rose from the Golden Girls or even from that hilarious Snickers commercial but with an acting career that spanned 8 decades she is one of the most memorable faces of hollywood. Besides her acting career, Betty had another love and that was animals.

Betty White passed away just shy of her 100th birthday, which would have been on January 17, 2022 and the viral #bettywhitechallenge ensued.   Each year on her birthday we want to be a part of celebrating her incredible passion for helping animals, and we encourage you to also do what you can to honor her life. Please join us in sharing an animal that needs a home on your social media, volunteering if you can, sponsoring an animal, or making a $5 (or more) donation in her honor to your favorite animal organizations including the Routt County Humane Society.  Please visit our website routthumane.org for more information or to make a donation in honor of Betty.
